Content Description

He has been unwell for some with a billious complaint, despite a long journey he took in a Phaeton through the lakes, up into Scotland as far as Loch Lomond, before returning via Edinburgh home. He is glad that Humphry has added to his income as he never thought that India would provide much by way of riches. His own situation is less than marvelous as he has to support two penniless branches of his family, necessitating that he live alone and frugally; but as he can still draw architecture he counts his blessings.
