Content Description

Draft letter from the Secretary in reply to a request to have the portraits of the Young Roscius, [Master Betty] by Northcote and Opie taken away from Somerset House, stating that they had been placed for exhibition by order of the Council, and that members of the Committee of Arrangement were only to be considered as individuals, who could not interfere with any resolution of the Council.
