Extract: dated Lucnow, 23 Sep 1796. The vizier's ministers waited on the British resident and said the pirnciple sum would be paid to the creditors if the interest was waived.
Extract: dated 25 Sep 1796. The writer has luckily received received the money owing, other than the interest.
