Sir G. John says that the bust of
Gluck is in the Louvre, and that the original was at the Theatre Francais, but was destroyed in a fire. The plaster, left to Gilbert by
Boehm, was sold to a Paris collector. A terracotta version was exhibited in the Royal Academy French Art show.
