Sends thanks for the list; he thinks the portrait is 'Mr Hope 1835', it is a portrait of his eldest uncle, John, who died soon after; he also has a watercolour of James Hope, signed by George Richmond, 1842; his sister, Caroline, has a watercolour of his father, George Hope, probably the 'Mr J. Hope 1835'; he thinks there is another chalk drawing of Mr James Hope at Abbotsford.
