Mr. Carwardine has made payment for the last quarter; Mrs. White's son, Humphry's godson, has died; the Royal Academy exhibited, but he does not attribute this to the that he and three friends have defected to it from the Society of Artists; he is interested in Humphry's account of the colours of the mozaics, he wonders whether any of them can be procured; all in London is confusion because of the General Election, Mr. Wilks is Lord Mayor for the year, as well as having been returned for Middlesex.
