Content Description

Bartolozzi can only undertake one of Mr Beckford's two copper plates. This will cost 2 guineas and be finished toward the end of May. He asks his correspondent [name unspecified] to let him know if the time and price suit Mr Beckford. Bartolozzi agress that the other should be engraved by Mr Grignon. He is glad to hear that his correspondent's deafness has diminished and hopes that he will soon be free of it. [The letter is followed by a full English translation, p30.]
