The first is to Mrs Thrale, 8 May 1783, stating that Sir Joshua Reynolds bleives the current exhibition will support the Academy, clearing £3000.
The second is to Joshua Reynolds, 2 May 1783, recommending the bearer, Mr Cruikshanks, who wishes to be appointed the Academy's Professor of Anatomy.
The third is to Mrs Thrale, 1 May 1783, concerning the Royal Academy annual dinner, assistance he obtained for [Mauritius] Lowe and the opening of James Barry's election.
