Apologises for the
Academy's mistake in describing her portrait her picture in the catalogue as a portrait of an "Actress", he had described it as a portrait of a Lady; he mentions the practice of exhibitors in supplying the Academy with two lists on submitting their pictures, one with the titles as they should appear in the catalogue, the other with the real names of the portraits; on visiting the Secretary of the Academy he found that his list was the only one missing from the pile.
