Written in response to the announcement of the Government School of Design. He is a designer of patterns for printing on muslin and calico and has practiced for twenty years. He finds the published plan of the new establishment not suited for its founding purpose and provides a list of technicalities which should be taught for his profession. He also suggests a number of departments for different professions and hopes that this letter might be printed and circulated.
