He is sending this through Mr. Charles Hervey [recte Harvey] a young officer of distinguished merit and worth. He has not yet seen Mr. Wyatt but understands from him that Palmer & Co. think the pictures should have remained in India. He stresses that they were painted by order of the Nabob for Sir John Macpherson, who now lives in Brompton. He is advised by friends in the government.
