Content Description

Essentially a discursive journal, perhaps commenced on the basis that Ward found the pocket diary format too constrained. Commences with (yet another) avowal of intent, and an anecdote concerning Opie related to him by Constable. The diary continues with much of Ward's personal activities and details of conversations with James Northcote, Sharpe, Briggs, Willis, Cregan etc. No entries for 1824 to June 1825 when he was in Westmorland.

Physical Characteristics

Rebound at some point in the 20th century.
