Cope sends a print of the copy of
Raphael's fresco of 'Galatea' at Rome, which he thinks would be an acquisition for the RA Schools. Mr Cary is breaking up his school of art and would be willing to part with the work for £50. As the original has been repainted by
Raphael Mengs, it is less like than the original than this copy, which increases its historical value.
