Content Description

The writer was much vexed to hear how ill Gibson had been. She hoped to exhibit a drawing or two that year. Miss Cushman had said that Gibson was working at what bid fair to be his chef d'oeuvre. The writer would beg for a photo of it. She concludes by mentioning the death of Sir Charles Eastlake, and stating that she was receiving instruction from the watercolour painter Mr Absalon [perhaps John Absolon.]
