He is glad Todd's passing was quick and painless. He and
Bernard were proud to be his friends. Over thirty years he watched Todd become one of the country's best painters. The state of his health was a tragedy, as it compelled him to turn down important commissions, as a painter of women he was unrivalled. A later generation will do him justice. Bernard is delighted by the legacy left to him. He finishes with a couple of estate related requests.
