Content Description

Enclosing an [undated] letter from Frank Brangwyn, Temple Lodge, Queen Street, Hammersmith, W., to Sir Aston Webb, relating to the Exhibition of Decorative Art [1923.] Brangwyn had been designing a gallery of art for Japan. He offers to have the gallery erected at the RA for the Decorative Art Exhibition: his client was prepared to pay. The letter encloses a sketch of the gallery showing stained glass windows and doors. Webb asks Lamb to raise Brangwyn's suggestion at the next Committee meeting. However, Webb points out that Brangwyn thinks the exhibition is next year, not the year after, so the hall would probably not be available then.
