She is very glad to hear that his sight continues to progress beyond his expectations, but sorry to hear his India business is still in suspense. She arrived in Brighton on the 7th and was surprised by the sight of the sea, is used to it now, but still marvels "at the might hand of God in this part of his creating power!" Her health is now good, she drinks sea water and bathes. She has not seen the town but is told it is "very much increasing in size".
