Text from a letter by Horace Walpole to Mason, 8 April 1778, stating that he will not go to the annual dinner. Lady Diana Beauclerk has drawn the Duchess of Devonshire, it has been engraved by Bartolozzi. He quips that there is no reason to go tot he Academy when Lady Di is "superior to all!".
