Content Description

He sends his remarks, by which he stands, but if Spielmann thinks the opinions too strongly expressed he may disregard them. He has strived all his life to deserve the appellation "serious artist" but is confronted with the "incompetent yet successfull amateur". He wishes he could have "perpetrated" something up to date with the "new Art movement", as it is he is bound with what are called the "impracticable dreamers". Money is the "stumbling block", his students leave for the holiday and he is losing an assistant. He must have the means he requires or will be obliged to "shut up shop" once again. Hopes Spielmann can help him and specifies two alternate wires that should be sent, one in the positive and one in the negative.
