The Unknown Monet Student Competition
Win £1,000 of art supplies for your school and see your students’ artwork on display at the Royal Academy of Arts!

The Unknown Monet reveals the importance of colour, light, and drawing in his paintings. Explore your neighbourhood as Monet did and create artwork with your students that explores colour and light. Use your local environment as further inspiration. Please use any media (pastels, pencil, charcoal, paint, collage, etc). All visiting student groups are invited to participate. Artwork is displayed on the Norman Shaw landing for the duration of the show.

Your photos will be uploaded (labelled with school name) to a display screen on the Norman Shaw Landing for your class to visit and admire.
Details of the competition
All participating schools are automatically entered in the competition. The best artworks from a primary and secondary school will each be awarded a prize of £1,000, to be spent at teachers’ discretion on art books or materials. The winning images will be selected by a panel of Bank of America and Royal Academy representatives at an Awards Ceremony.
