Outreach
Drawing from the life model has been central to the education of artists at the Royal Academy since its foundation in 1768. Our Outreach programme gives students across the UK the opportunity to draw from life in one-day workshops led by practising artists.

Aimed mainly at GCSE and A-level students, the programme develops young people’s understanding of the processes of drawing and the powerful role it plays in developing creativity.
Over 50,000 young people in schools as far afield as the Channel Islands and the Shetland Islands have participated since 1988. The programme currently reaches 100 schools across the UK each year.
