The Royal Academy of Arts is one of the UK’s foremost arts institutions, famous for its world class exhibitions including Van Gogh, Anish Kapoor and David Hockney. Its purpose is to be a clear, strong voice for art and artists. Its public programme promotes the creation, study and enjoyment of art to a wide range of audiences through exhibitions, education and debate.
Our fundraising team plays a vital role in the success and growth of the Royal Academy of Arts as a dynamic and independent organisation and we are now looking for a talented and experienced Research Assistant to join the Development team to help realise the ambitions of this world renowned institution.
The successful candidate will be looking to forge a career in fundraising, specifically in prospect research. With a curious mind and natural instinct for research, they will have excellent drafting skills to produce clear and concise reports. Highly organised, they will be methodical and systematic in their approach with razor sharp attention to detail.
First class IT skills and database knowledge are essential alongside first class interpersonal and communication skills. A demonstrable interest in the visual arts and the activities of the Royal Academy are preferred.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest and knowledge of the visual arts and a sound understanding and knowledge of the Royal Academy of Arts.
