Spencer de Grey RA

Spencer de Grey studied architecture at Cambridge University and graduated in 1969. He joined Foster Associates in 1973; was made a partner in 1991 and has since been appointed joint Senior Executive and Head of Design at Foster & Partners.

He was the director in charge of Stansted Airport; was responsible for the Sackler Galleries at the Academy and has overseen a wide rage of projects, at home and abroad, including the Cambridge Law Faculty; the Great Court at the British Museum; the Great Glasshouse at the National Botanic Garden of Wales; the Winspear Opera House in Dallas; Avery Fisher Hall at the Lincoln Center, New York and the redevelopment of Dresden Station.

He lectures in architecture and was made a CBE in 1997.
