Tax efficient giving
The Royal Academy of Arts is an independent charity entirely funded by its supporters, with no government subsidies. The support of Patrons is vital in maintaining our unique tradition of creation, conservation and debate in the visual arts.
You can increase the value of your donation at no further cost to you. As a Patron all you have to do is complete the Gift Aid declaration on the Patron joining form and the donation element of your contribution to the Royal Academy will be increased significantly. If you are a higher rate tax payer you will be able to reclaim the higher rate portion of income tax you have already paid on your donation. Please keep a record of your donation and reclaim through your annual tax return.
For Gift Aid purposes we are required to declare the commercial value of the benefits we offer RA Patrons. The values, which do not qualify for Gift Aid, are £600 at Silver, £1,000 at Gold and £1,600 at Platinum. The balance of your contribution is a donation qualifying for Gift Aid.
The Royal Academy of Arts is a registered charity under Registered Charity Number 1125383 and is also registered as a company limited by guarantee in England and Wales under Company Number 6298947.
