The Royal Academy’s popular Summer Exhibition has been an annual event since 1769 and
continues to be the largest open exhibition in the UK. The show includes around 1000 paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, architectural design and models selected each year from over 10,000 entries.
First published in the 1870s, the Royal Academy Illustrated presents the highlights of each year’s show and the illustrations, including a wide range of the selected
works, installation shots of the galleries and an informative introduction by Richard Cork, make it an indispensable record of this most popular event.
Richard Cork is an award-winning art critic, historian,
broadcaster and curator.
The book is 24 x 20cm, 192 pages, 170 colour illustrations.

The 'List of Works' is an un-illustrated and complete list of the works selected for the Summer Exhibition. It includes the artists name and contact details, the title and price of each work. The format is a small paperback book.
