The RA's new exhibition Johan Zoffany RA: Society Observed opens to the public this Saturday, 10 March.

To whet your appetite, here's a fascinating introduction to what is arguably Zoffany's greatest painting - The Tribuna of the Uffizi - by exhibition co-curator Martin Postle:

Very interesting. I enjoyed the exhibition very much.. I recall that there was a key to this picture identifying all the characters in it - save one. I realise this is rather late, but I think I have a good candidate for that last character and, if you'd lke to discuss it I'd be pleased to chat - I am a London-based auctioneer if that helps at all..
