Video: Tess Jaray RA at The Piper Gallery

RSS

London's Piper Gallery is currently showing new paintings by Royal Academician Tess Jaray.

In recent years, Jaray has begun to use computer software in her drawing, along with screenprinting, to create a new level of precision in the subtle geometric patterns that characterise her paintings.

In the video above, the artist introduces the three groups of works in the exhibition, and discusses some of her infleunces, from Malevich's Red Square to the architecture of Damascus. She also explains why she has dedicated the exhibition to one of her oldest friends.
