Painted by a very young John Singer Sargent, 'Atlantic Storm' will soon become a familiar sight for London commuters as the posters for 'Sargent and the Sea' go up across the capital. In this two minute video, Royal Academy of Arts curator Ann Dumas gives an insight into the story behind this striking image:
enjoyed the exhibition a great deal....such stunning pivctures. The poster is wonderful....a work of art on its own ! :)
Great Painter, great show.
Having poorish eyesight I was dosappointed that the Sargeant exhibition had so many very small pictures but the videos of the sketches from the book were brilliant and made up for the small pictures. Tnank you.
