Her Majesty, Patron, Royal Academy of Arts, received Sir Nicholas Grimshaw (President) and Dr Charles Saumarez Smith (Secretary and Chief Executive) on Tuesday 15 July.
In her role as Patron and Protector the Queen has certain powers of oversight in the Royal Academy of Arts affairs. Each year Her Majesty signifies her "approbation" by signing a document that lays out changes to the constitution and elections to the membership.
