ST PAUL’S DEDICATION OF MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO SIR HUGH CASSON PRA
Founder of the Friends of the Royal Academy
A Memorial Plaque has been made for Sir Hugh Casson PRA who established the Friends of the Royal Academy in 1977 as a way of providing vital funding for the RA.
The plaque is hanging in the crypt of St Paul's Cathedral, directly opposite Roger de Grey’s plaque. The area is reserved for the past Presidents of the RA.
The plaque was carved by John das Gupta and was dedicated, in February 2011, by The Right Reverend Graeme Knowles, the Dean of St Paul's.
Visit the plaque at St Paul's Cathedral.
