A new exhibition of original black and white photographic portraits depict a selection of the contributors to the Royal Academy’s Architecture Programme from 2004-2008. Photographer Alexander McIntyre was commissioned by The Royal Academy to depict the subjects – leading architects, artists, historians and thinkers who have all contributed to the Royal Academy’s unique and multifaceted architecture programme– placing the sitter in dialogue with an architectural setting, in and around the RA.

This exhibition is in two parts:

Part I: 15 August–4 November 2008 (in The Architecture Space)
Part II: 16 September–9 January 2009 (on The Norman Shaw stairs)
