In the Reynolds Room, a John Madejski Fine Room
Historian Michael Wood explores the living bronze casting tradition of South India, looking at masterpieces from the Chola Empire (ninth to twelfth century). The talk also includes footage of the casting of a bronze by a family of hereditary masters from Swamimalai, who still use the ancient lost wax technique.
