Lyrical saxophonist and composer Tim Whitehead has created a remarkable synthesis of image and music by improvising in front of Turner’s paintings, and then creating a terrific series of compositions from these “sketches”. Tonight, with his quartet featuring pianist Liam Noble, performs these works.
