Celebrated Japanese architect Tadao Ando, renowned for his subtle manipulation of light, form and materials, delivers a rare lecture. Ando, a self-taught architect and Honorary Royal Academician, has received countless accolades including the 1995 Pritzker Prize, the AIA Gold Medal and the Japanese Person of Cultural Merit. His recent projects include the renovation of the Palazzo Grassi in Venice and the 21_21 Design Sight in Tokyo. This lecture is consecutively translated.
