Chiswick House
12 May 2011
Built in 1729, Chiswick House is a magnificent neo-Palladian villa set in beautiful historic gardens in west London. We visit the main rooms, including the Green Velvet Room, and tour the Gardens, which recently underwent a £12 million restoration. Widely considered to be the birthplace of the English Landscape Movement, the gardens at Chiswick have inspired countless others, including New York’s Central Park.
