The Whiteness of Paper: Drawings from the Royal Academy of Arts, London

The gallery at wimbledon is pleased to present The Whiteness of Paper, an exhibition organised in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Arts and The Centre for Drawing, a Research Centre of the University of the Arts London.

Focusing on a rarely seen strength of the Royal Academy’s Collection, curators Stephen Farthing RA (Rootstein Hopkins Professor of Drawing at the University of the Arts London) and Nick Savage (Head of Collections at the Royal Academy of Arts) have chosen works on paper by British architects and artists working from the mid-18th century through to the end of the 20th century.

Selected drawings and sketchbooks include those by Frederic, Lord Leighton, Sir George Clausen, Sir John Everett Millais, Dame Laura Knight, George Stubbs, Sir Frank Brangwyn and the architects CR Cockerell and Sir TG Jackson.
