Important information for groups visiting the Royal Academy

  • Please note the John Madejski Fine Rooms must be clear by midday to prepare for opening to the public. Latecomers may experience a shorter talk and refunds will not be granted.
  • Pre-booked tickets will be posted out and should be handed in at the entrance to the exhibition. Additional tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Office.
  • On arrival the group representative should collect gallery guides from the Information Desk.
  • Re-admission to exhibitions is not officially permitted but will be considered at the discretion of the gallery staff. If a ticket holder has to go out for some reason they should speak to a member of gallery staff at the entrance to the exhibition.
  • The Royal Academy is open until 10pm on Fridays. Last entrance to the galleries is at 9.30pm. Payments for group tickets for late-night viewing must be made in advance
  • Audio guides are available for all exhibitions (apart from the Summer Exhibition). They can be purchased at a reduced rate of £2.50 per person when booked in advance for groups of 10 or more and are sometimes included in the ticket price.
