In sequences of closely related photographs Nicholas Sinclair takes charateristic features of urban landscape to explore the interaction between a city and its citizens as recorded through graffiti. In the cities of Palermo, Istanbul, Budapest, Paris and Berlin we are invited to look at graffiti anew: not as an aggressive intrusion but rather as a part of an ongoing, collaborative transformation of the modern city.
This hardback book has an introduction by Nicky Hamlyn and comprises 72 pages, 28 x 28cm.
The book is published in a limited edition of 25 copies, signed and numbered by the artist and includes a silver gelatin print, Untitled, Palermo, 2008.
