The RA is a wonderful place for teachers and your students to engage with art. Below are some examples of the fantastic pieces of work that have been created after a visit to our exhibitions. Some were made in our Learning Studio after an exhibition visit, others back in the classroom. We hope you will enjoy looking at them as much as us!
This photo was very kindly sent to us by Springfield Day Nursery, who were inspired by their visit to 'Degas and the Ballet' to create this stunning wall display!
These beautiful artworks were created by children at Frithwood Primary School. The project was led by their teacher Nicola Bedenham, who was inspired by the Hockney exhibition after her visit to the
Teachers Private View.
Working with different collage and weaving techniques, the children made a piece of textile design with fabric pens, paint and crayons, with felt flowers sewn on, as well as paintings of the landscape.
Thank you to South Brent Primary School for sending in their work inspired by Hockney's landsape paintings. They have enjoyed looking at trees, plants and paths in different ways and were fascinated by Hockney's use of colour!

Thank you to Therfield First School for the very enthusiastic Hockney-esque work sent in, created using computers.
As part of a week studying Trees, the Year 3 and 4 pupils at Thornton College were inspired by David Hockney’s ‘A Bigger Picture’.
Thank you to Poplar Primary School, who were so inspired by their visit to the Summer Exhibition in 2011 that they decided to hold their own exhibition in 2012! The teachers visited the 2012 Summer Exhibition and used some of the artists in the exhibition to inspire pupils' own work.
