Work created in the Hockney Primary Workshop
RA Learning offers an extensive programme of free practical hands-on workshops for both primary and secondary schools during main galleries exhibition in the autumn and spring terms.
Free primary workshops consist of an introductory interactive slide discussion on the exhibition, followed by a visit to the galleries in small groups of three or four, each led by a trained education mediator. Students then take part in a practical hands on session specifically tailored to suit the exhibition. All primary workshops are scheduled for 10.15am–1pm.
We also offer a multi-sensory workshop programme for special schools,
which includes conversation, object handling and creative sessions.
