Young artists were asked to look at Portraits of the Yongzheng Emperor Enjoying Himself throughout the Twelve Months (Winter). The Art Detective sheet included a picture of a gourd-shaped window with a deer and bamboo outside. Young artists were asked to draw a window shaped like their favourite fruit or vegetable. Next they were asked to draw the view that they would like to see when they looked through their window.
