Facilities for babies and young children
There is a baby changing facility inside the accessible toilet, on the right-hand side of the staircase in the Front Hall. High chairs are available in the restaurant and café. For breast-feeding, the most comfortable area may be leather seats by the entrance to the restaurant. Pushchairs and buggies are allowed in the galleries and can be stored in the cloakroom.
Eating and Drinking
The Restaurant at The Royal Academy
is open daily from 10am until 6pm, with dinner served on Fridays and Saturdays until 11pm. Book your table by calling 020 7300 5608. Alternatively, situated on the ground floor next to the lift, and serving a range of freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes and pastries, the RA Café is an ideal place to visit for a light snack and drink. Open 10am–5.30pm daily (7.30pm Friday).
NEW: We’re now offering free meals for children under 12 when dining with an adult, an unbeatable summer offer when under 12s also enter exhibitions free! Children can choose two courses from a set menu when an adult has a main course from the à la carte menu from 11.30am - 3pm. Available until the end of August 2013.

We had some young visitors to the RA's 'Bronze' exhibition! Thank you to Tess, for her imagining of the head of King Seuthes III on the side of a coin, and to Bille Grace, for her shield design based on the Battersea Shield.
Thank you to Jacob and Sam Jolliffe for their wonderful interpretations of works in the RA's 'Bronze' exhibition.
This amazing photocollage was sent to us by Ali Graham, aged 7, who was inspired by his experience at the Hockney Family workshop to create this beautfiul landscape based on Hockney's photocollage images of the Grand Canyon and Californian desert.
Thank you to Cordelia Jones (aged 4) who sent us this fantastic painting inspired by her visit to the David Hockney exhibition.
