InterAct at the RA Summer Exhibition Lipspeaking event 2012

• We run a series of BSL, Lipspeaking and Speech-to-Text gallery talks and tours for every exhibition. These tours are delivered by Deaf artists as well as curators and artist educators. Deaf hosts support the events.

• We welcome hearing dogs.

• Audio guides with loops are available upon request.


• Radio receivers for personal amplification are provided for lipspeaking gallery tours.


• Induction loops are available at all information desks in Burlington House and also in the Royal Academy shop.

This was the first time I had seen voice activated text and it was great…you can look at the picture and not lose your place, and it is virtually mistake free and slower. I think it is the way forward.

...Just a quick note to say how excellent the tour itself was and how helpful (essential) the lipspeaking accompaniment was. Many thanks indeed to both Harry and Vicky - great job. I also thought the exhibition itself was tremendous and the 'balanced/mixed' curation absolutely right.
