Visiting the galleries
All members of the press wishing to cover the Royal Academy of Arts are encouraged to attend our dedicated press viewings for exhibitions. If you are unable to make a press viewing the press office can offer discretionary access for working journalists on a per publication basis, when arranged in advance. Members of the National Union of Journalists and the Chartered Institute of Journalists are also able to access our exhibitions by showing a valid NUJ or CIJ card at the Information Desk. Please note that complimentary access is not available in the final two weeks of an exhibition.
Filming and photography are not permitted within the Royal Academy during public opening hours and all out of hours filming must be previously arranged with the press office. If you would like to film at the Royal Academy please email a brief description of the project (including proposed date/times and crew size) to press.office@royalacademy.org.uk
and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
