Families

Summer Exhibition Schools Workshop 2010 Summer at the Royal Academy is a great time to bring the family. Don't miss our Summer Exhibition Gallery Tours
every Sunday in July, a brief introduction for families to the variety of artworks in the world's largest open-submission contemporary art exhibition.
We also offer Family Workshops every Wednesday and Friday from 22 July to 12 August, comprising an introductory tour and hands-on session.
Finally don't forget to ask for your free Art Tray! Designed to bring out the artist in everybody, these free activity trays contain free skechbooks and pencils to create works of art inspired by the Summer Exhibition, as well as Art Detectives, a creative exhibition trail for families to explore together.
Plan your visit:
Facilities for babies and young children
There is a baby changing facility inside the accessible toilet, on the right-hand side of the staircase in the Front Hall. High chairs are available in the restaurant and café. For breast-feeding, the most comfortable area may be leather seats by the entrance to the restaurant. Pushchairs and buggies are allowed in the galleries and can be stored in the cloakroom.
