The Big Man, Carla Busuttil, 2008. Oil on canvas with a medal, 100 x 100 cm The annual Schools Show sees the transformation of the Schools studios into a stunning contemporary gallery space. This year, the show highlights works by 17 RA Schools students who have completed their three-year postgraduate course. The exhibition, which provides an excellent opportunity to view new work by emerging artists, includes art from a variety of media including painting, sculpture, digital printmaking and video.
The students exhibiting in the show include: Appau Boakye-Yiadom, Carla Busuttil, Petros Chrisostomou, Stewart Cliff, Chris Daniels, Caroline Gorick, Gabriel Hartley, Alexander Hoda, Natsue Ikeda, Thomas Livesey, Jill Mason, Joanna Phelps. Angus Sanders-Dunnachie, Alexander Scarfe. Zara Schofield, Richard Thomas and Elizabeth Waller.
The Royal Academy Schools is a small independent institution that offers the only three-year, full time postgraduate course in fine art in the UK. The Royal Academy Schools is run by artists for artists and it is a leading centre for the postgraduate study of fine art.
