The delicate, multi-layered collages include manipulated photographs, drawn elements, and found objects. These layers combine to create visual expressions of the artist’s journeys, both literal and metaphorical. Widely acclaimed as a sculptor, the artist has described her work as being a visual diary of her physical and emotional life.

Christopher was elected a Royal Academician in 1980 when she was only 32 years old, making her one of the youngest elected Members in the Academy’s history. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally since the late 1960’s. She has completed numerous commissions and won several awards for her work. She currently lives and works near Bath.
