If the time you would like to visit is no longer available online we do have a limited number of tickets available on site for each time slot. Tickets are allocated on a first come first served basis from the Friends Desk so please be advised that an immediate time slot may not be available and there may be a wait.
If you do need to wait please take the opportunity to see the other exhibitions currently on at the RA: Johan Zoffany RA: Society Observed ; LithORRgraphy: Chris Orr RA and the Art of Chemical Printing (closed Mondays); and Nicholas Hawksmoor: Architect of the Imagination . Additionally you can relax in the Friends Rooms including the Keeper’s House Lounge a quiet sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle only open for the duration of this exhibition between 11am and 4pm daily.
How to book online:
To book online, you need to be registered as a Friend on our ticketing site. This requires a separate registration to the main Royal Academy website and online shop.
If we already have your email address, please log on using this.
If we do not have your email address, then the first time you book tickets for this exhibition you will need to log on using a a temporary email address that we have created for you.
This temporary email address consists of your surname and Friends membership number and is followed by '@raa.com'.
For example, if your name is Robert Smith and your membership number is 123456, your username will be entered like this:

Once you have logged in using this temporary email address, you will be prompted to change your username to your actual email address. You can use this each subsequent time you book tickets for the exhibition.
