Title: Pushing out
Description: - Figure interior/exterior, mod-rock, chicken wire, morphed, faces, boxes - This sculpture was based on my canvas. To create it I bent and moulded chicken wire around a manikin’s head followed by mod-rock to define the facial features creating a cast of the face. I made four of these and built them into a box like structure. This created the impression of faces trying to push out from the inside. Having looked at various artists sculptures I was drawn to ones that had been kept to one solid colour, this helped me to decide to paint the whole of my piece with white acrylic paint to unify the piece and to keep it more simplistic.
