Inspiration: The pieces shown are the result of the search for myself within Art. I did not set out with a plan to create a piece - I wanted to understand myself more and develop my personality in a creative way. I realised that what made me so fond of Art, was how it incorporated and challenged the viewer. Daniel Buren's installations have inspired me to create spaces where the viewer's emotions are affected by the use of lighting and colour. In the paintings/sculptures shown, I too hope to create a unique and vibrant space, where the viewer is at liberty to interpret the piece in whichever way they please.

Title: Frames

Description: The impact of colour is highlighted by the luminous acetate sheets which allow light to seep through from the background. The colours mix with each other in a variety of ways when viewed from different angles. The piece is held upright by a number of carefully balanced frames. The texture of the tree contrasts beautifully with the simplicity of the shapes encountered.
